On behalf of the Society, may I welcome you to this year’s Youth Production of High School Musical!

Following on from our very successful run of Shrek last summer, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support throughout the year.

​

Many thanks to the Lagan Valley Island Hall management team, front of house staff and technical support, and to our chaperones, Jamie and Angie, for all their help throughout the summer.

​

I would also like to thank our production and technical team, Simon, Michelle, Geoffrey, Demi, Amy, Jess, Jennifer and Karen,for their hard work and dedication in bringing this show to the stage.

​

A huge thank you must also go to my very hard-working committee. I could not continue to help this Society thrive without them. Special thanks to our Head Chaperone, Anne-Marie, and our Youth Society Representative, Demi, who work tirelessly alongside me to ensure we have everything in order for all our young members.

​

This year we have over 90 young people in our cast, and we are delighted to welcome back some of our older cast members too. To every member of the cast - thank you for working so hard. I am incredibly proud of each and every one of you.

​

And don’t forget, we will be back in the Island Hall from 5th–12th December 2026 for our annual pantomime, Sleeping Beauty. You may even spot quite a few familiar faces from tonight’s show back on stage with us! Tickets go on sale on Monday, so book early to avoid disappointment.

Finally, thank you, our audience, for your continued support and for helping us fulfil our dreams of performing on the stage where we belong.
